Oatmeal is one of my favorite breakfasts because it is filling, packed with nutrients, and there are so many ways to get creative with it. You can have it freshly baked or chilled overnight and there are endless flavor combinations you can experiment with. My favorite is vanilla protein and berries but I also love mixing chocolate protein and nut butter. Yum!
Vanilla Berry Protein Oatmeal:
Ingredients
½ cup rolled oats (gluten free)
½ cup berries (I use frozen blueberries)
1 cup non-dairy milk of choice (I use unsweetened almond milk or oat milk)
1 scoop protein powder (NuZest Vanilla is my fave)
Optional Add-Ins:
2-3Tbs chia seeds
1Tbs pumpkin seeds
1tsp maca root powder
Collagen powder
Cinnamon
Honey or Maple Syrup
Nut butter
Preparation
Cook oats according to instructions with non-dairy milk (in the microwave or over the stove)
Add your blueberries while oats are cooking
Once oats are cooked, add in your protein powder and any other dry ingredients (collagen, maca, etc.)
Top with seeds and any other additional toppings
**If you want to make overnight oats, add all ingredients together in a mason jar or sealed container and place in the fridge overnight.
